celery, and sweet apartments.

I know my attitude about food is changing when I come home craving "fast food":

AKA, the healthy version.

Pizza

PC thin, whole wheat
pizza sauce
garlic
onion
spinach
tomato
carrot
celery
pepper

Partnered with sweet potato fries, tossed with omega oil (grapeseed oil, extra virgin olive oil, and flaxseed oil) and pepper, served with organic ketchup (and not-organic-mustard... not shown).

The celery was the key ingredient here. Not to toot my own horn or anything, but THIS WAS AMAZING. Homemade pizzas of any sort are one of my favorite things ever. And I'm starting to not even miss the cheese! I've subconsciously decreased my cheese intake, because I find it's one of the things I binge on when I buy it. I haven't bought a block of cheese in months. I have parmesan in the fridge, but that doesn't even really taste like cheese...

Look at it. It's beautiful.

On an unrelated topic, I'm calmed down from my freak out last night and gone into interior designer mode. As soon as the lease is signed on my new place (which I don't move into for 4 months, I remind you), I am calling up the current tenant and running over that place with a measuring tape... to create a to-scale version of the apartment... so I can buy appropriately-sized furniture. I have photos that I really really want to post here, but it's currently not my place, and I don't want to show the current tenant's stuff all over the internets. You will have to settle for the knowledge that it is INCREDIBLE and totally worth all of the attention I am giving it.

I must go, the kettle is boiling and the kitchen is filling up with steam. Feels like Tetley time to me!

  2. I STALK Kijiji. Like, obsessively. I sift through tons of ads, and I jump all over an ad when I like it - I call them, email them, multiple times if necessary!
