garmin.

If you are planning a big road trip to places unknown, go buy one of these. Immediately.

I am now an unoffical spokesperson for Garmin. They are not paying me anything, I just love my GPS. A lot. Who needs a dog when you have a pet that doesn't eat and gives you directions? I bought mine on sale at Canadian Tire few weeks before our trip to TO and learned how to use it to get to places locally. On our way to Toronto, I made a "suggestion" of a turn off to take in Montréal (for some reason we didn't have the Garmin on..), and that promptly got us completely lost. We turned on the Garmin and never looked back. It saved the trip and my relationship. This is not a joke. Go buy one.

  1. Mine actually makes me want to rip it out of the dashboard and throw it out the window!! It might have to do with the fact that it's a few years old and I refuse to pay for the "new map updates" lol
I always bring a Google map as backup when going anywheres unfamiliar.. haha

  2. Lol they're not foolproof, that's for sure.. I tried to take a "shortcut" to DC's once and it took me on a "road" that hasn't been a road in about.. oh 50 years or so.. not sure how it ever got in the system! haha
